Rachel Shabi is the author of ''We Look Like the Enemy: The Hidden Story of Israel's Jews from Arab Lands'', a book on Israel's Oriental Jews, and a contributing writer to ''The Guardian''. Shabi was born in Ramat Gan, Israel〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.bloomsbury.com/author/rachel-shabi/ )〕 to Iraqi Jewish parents. She studied politics and literature at the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland.〔 Rachel Shabi has written extensively on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Middle East for a variety of national and international newspapers including the Guardian, the Times, English Aljazeera, Jane's Intelligence Digest, Foreign Policy, the New Statesman and the National (UAE).
